5 Themes of Geography: Place

Every place on Earth is unique, but why are we comfortable in some places but not in others? Think of places where you have been comfortable or uncomfortable. Describe that place. What makes a place comfortable/uncomfortable?

We are comfortable in some places and not in others because it depends on location. For example, if someone lived where it snows a lot and the person did not like snow the person wouldn't be comfortable with the location.

We are comfortable in not in others because it depends on what the location it is in.
The most comfortable place I have been to is Florida because it is mostly sunny,it has many palm trees and the beaches are very nice.
My uncomfortable place is in virginia because it wasn't that warm and it looked like indiana and also when we were there we were on the coast in a hurricane.

we are comfortable in places that are like are lifestyles. so if you are an eskimo you wouldn't really feel comrotable. I feel comfortable at my house and on a court or field. i feel uncomfortable at a place that is fancy. I'm not a big dresserupper. Trenton Brazel

People are comfortable in some places rather than others because of what climate we are used to. If you have lived in a hot climate place then move to a cold climate place you may not be comfortable there.

we are comfortable in some places and not others because we can adapt in some places and not others it takes time to adapt to a lot of places.

I think we are comfortable depending on where we have had good experiances. If someone constantly yelled at you in school, it would become an uncomfortable place. The more positive experiances we have in a place the more comfortable it becomes to us.

We are comfortable in some places but not others like mercury we can't breathe there while we can on earth.WE can also adapt in differtent areas. Like a city slicker can live in the farm if you can you adapt.

I feel uncomfortable in some places because like Charlie said if you have a negative experience in a certain environment you can't have pleasant connotations in that area.

I agree completely with everyone. You will not like a place if your best interests can not be found within that location. For example, i wouold not enjoy going to Anarctica. There would be nothing that i would find enjoyable.

I feel comfortable in an environment where I know the surroundings, people, and place. So I'd be very comfortable here in Kokomo where I was born, where I have friends, where I know the climate and where I go to school. But I am certain that I won't be comfortable in a place that I have never been to.

I agree with Spencer to a certain extent. But if a person moved from a warm place to a cold place, initially that person may not feel comfortable but may adapt to the new climate as the time goes by.

A place that is comfortable is my home. It feels so good and secure. I can feel safe without thinking about being safe

We are comfortable in some places but not others because of what we're used to. For example I was born and raised in Florida, then moved here, at first I didn't like it here at all, but gradually I got used to it, and now I love it here. We like some places but not others because of the climates, etc. and that is why we like some places but not others.

People feel comfortable in some places and not others because they're not used to the environment. For example,if you move to a new place you probaly dont know anybody so, you get uncomfortable.I most feel comfortable in my house. The reason being is I've been there almost all my life so,I know all the people around me.

I feel good in some places but

not others, for example at school

I feel like learning, and at the

park I feel like playing. How you

feel depends on where you are.
